"CARPENTIER CHOCOLAT" – 1897 – GERBAULT, HENRI - The original to this poster was printed in Paris in 1897. The advertisement focused all eyes on the steaming bowl of Carpentier Chocolat. From the white dog that stretches up to reach it, to the black cat who seems ready to drink. The cat's tail is an ingenious part of the floating text which hovers among the wondrous white wisps of steam, that radiate up from the bowl.
